Thank you for selecting WinCraps!
WinCraps is a fully featured craps simulator designed to run in a
Windows environment. The program files are "zipped" (compressed)
together into one self-extracting archive.
________________________________________________________
To install WinCraps in Windows 3.x:
- Start your Windows Program Manager
- From the FILE menu, select RUN
- If you have a WinCraps game disk,
- Place it in your A or B drive
- Enter A:WINCRAPS (or B:WINCRAPS)
- If you don't have a WinCraps game disk,
- Enter the path to the game files and WINCRAPS
- i.e. C:\DOWNLOAD\WINCRAPS
________________________________________________________
To install WinCraps in Windows 95:
- Select Start from your taskbar
- Select RUN
- If you have a WinCraps game disk,
- Place it in your A or B drive
- Enter A:WINCRAPS (or B:WINCRAPS)
- If you don't have a WinCraps game disk,
- Enter the path to the game files and WINCRAPS
- i.e. C:\DOWNLOAD\WINCRAPS
________________________________________________________
The game files will first be extracted from the archive. Then the
WinCraps setup routine will prompt you for the location in which
you'd like to install the game (with a default of C:\WINCRAPS).
A Program Manager Group and game file icons will also be created.
Caution: Do not install the game into the same directory as the
self-extracting installation file.
During the installation several system files are loaded which you
may or may not already have. If any of these files are present and
write protected or in use, a warning message will appear so stating.
This is just a notice - installation will continue after you
acknowledge the message.
Note: WinCraps requires the file VBRUN300.DLL to run. This file
is common to many programs written for Windows so it's possible
that you may already have a copy (if so, you'd normally find it in
your C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory). If you don't have it and you
downloaded the shareware version of WinCraps from CompuServe,
America Online, the Internet, etc., then you'll need to also
download VBRUN300.DLL. If you received WinCraps from another
source, such as a distribution disk, then this file is already
included with the game files.
Two areas Internet users may find VBRUN300.DLL are:
http://www.microsoft.com
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/cldctysoft
It can also usually be found in the game forum libraries of most
on-line services such as CompuServe, America Online, etc.

Activating your Registered version:
To complete your registration, you'll need to enter your name and
registration number into the program after installation. To do
this, start the program and press the letter "R" on your keyboard
while the "About WinCraps" screen is present. Two boxes (not the
order form) will then appear where you can enter your information.
Make sure you enter your name and number EXACTLY as they were
provided to you - taking care to use the same upper and lower case
letters, punctuation and spacing. (Press the TAB key to move
between the selections, and press the ENTER key when you're done.)
________________________________________________________
Benefits of Registration:
- Unlimited usage
- No "Order Form" reminders
- Unrestricted use of the Hyper-Drive
- FREE upgrades **
** Registration numbers will remain active for future versions of
WinCraps. When you see a newer version listed on CompuServe,
America Online, etc., just download it and repeat the installation
process. If you'd like a new diskette however, you'll have to send
a check for $2.50 (US) or $4.00 (foreign) to the address listed
below to cover shipping and handling charges.
________________________________________________________
Ordering:
Ordering the registered version of WinCraps is best accomplished
by accessing the Order Form from within the game. It can be found
under the Help menu on the main game table.
________________________________________________________
Copyright:
WinCraps is copyrighted by Cloud City Software. You may share the
Shareware version of WinCraps with anyone you like, as long as you
do not modify the program in any way. However, sharing or providing
your registration number to anyone else is a violation of this
copyright. WinCraps' reasonable price should allow anyone to
register their own copy!
